For all things Pokémon, Changi Airport is the place to be this festive season. And I do not mean just heading there to play Pokémon Go on your smartphone. Because if you are lucky, you may just bump into a cute yellow creature.

PIKACHU!

This holiday season, the terminals of Changi Airport are decked out in fun Pokémon-inspired festive decorations, while kids will be able to witness the adorable Pikachu brought to live through these fun activities.

Pikachu Winter Wonderland at T3 Departure Hall

Right smack in the middle of T3 Departure lies a whimsical setting featuring a Gingerbread House, Christmas trees (decorated with Pokémon plushies and Poké Ball baubles!) and candy canes. But the real centrepiece of the display is this - a towering, larger-than-life Pikachu!

This is also the place where visitors can soak in a Musical and Lights Show of dancing trees and falling snow - taking place at 2pm, 6pm, 7pm and 8pm on weekdays and at an additional time slot of 5pm on weekends.

Fancy snapping a selfie with Pikachu? Meet and Greet the most popular Pokémon every weekend from 19 Nov 2016 to 1 Jan 2017 (except 3 Dec 2016), at 6pm and 8pm.

Oh, and remember to step inside the Gingerbread House featuring Santa’s Workshop and Mrs Claus’ Confectionary which are filled with children's toys and yummy delights.

Free Pokémon Activity Kiosks

What's a Pokémon experience without some electronic games? Head to activity kiosks found at all three Terminals where kids (or adults) can try their hands at two types of activities - Z-Movesand Narikiri Face Painting.

At the Z-Moves activity kiosks, one can practice his/her moves together with Litten, Rowlet and Popplio.

Or if you prefer to be transformed to look like Pikachu, the Narikiri Face Painting activity kiosk will do just that thanks to the Pokémon-inspired filters.

After you have participated in the Z-Moves or face painting activity, you can also share the fun videos on social media and let your friends have a good laugh. Here's how to view the videos that you have taken through the kiosks.

Snorlax Garden

Over at T2 Departure Hall, a rare sighting of not one, but three life-sized Snorlax lounging at the Snorlax Garden is a photo opportunity that kids will be clamouring for.

Pop by SengkangBabies' blog to read about their experience too!

Follow the Poké Trail

26 life-sized Pokémon figures have been scattered around Changi Airport, both in the public and transit areas.

Snap and share at least 3 selfies with 3 different characters on social media and redeem exclusive Pokémon merchandise at T3 Departure Hall! Remember to use the hashtag #PokemonatChangi for the redemption to be valid.

Pokémon Plush Toys

A set of 9 limited-edition Pokémon plush toys will also be up for redemption at Changi Airport, featuring five popular Pokémon characters - Pikachu, Eevee, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, and three new characters from Nintendo's new Sun and Moon series - Rowlet, Litten and Popplio - as well the Poké Ball!

Each of these plush toys can be purchased for $9.90 with a minimum spend of $60 in the public area, $90 on iShopChangi.com or $120 in the transit area, Changi Recommends and supermarkets in a single receipt.

One thing's for sure - you gotta catch'em all!
